2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND GOALS
2.1 Vision
The goal of this project is to develop Kerala into a vibrant, heritage resort that acts as a
living reminder of the area's rich architectural and cultural legacy. The project intends to
conserve Kerala's cultural history by relocating endangered ancient houses close to the

Manimala River and providing guests with an immersive experience that effortlessly blends
tradition and contemporary hospitality. With a focus on holistic health, socioeconomic
development, and community involvement, the resort aims to become a regional leader in
responsible tourism, encouraging pride and ownership as well as sustainable growth.
2.2 Heritage Tourism
2.2.1 Exploring the Past
Travelling primarily for the aim of learning about a place's history and legacy is
known as historical or heritage tourism. It may be as easy as taking in the
well-known historical architecture on a stroll around the area's museums, which
preserve the past through artefacts, antiques, and literary artefacts, or as sentimental
as trying out original historical recipes where they were created.
History buffs frequently mix their passion for the past with other tourist attractions
like shopping, theme parks, and opulent resort stays. Therefore, the most well-liked
locations for tourists are those with a rich cultural legacy and a well-designed
tourism infrastructure that welcomes visitors from various backgrounds.
