1. INTRODUCTION

                  1.1 Objective

The primary objective of this thesis is to preserve Kerala's cultural heritage while providing

guests with an immersive experience that combines old-world charm and contemporary
hospitality. By involving local people and fostering socio-economic growth, it establishes a

benchmark for conscientious tourism, preserving historical sites while influencing a
                  sustainable future.

                  1.2 Motivation

The motivation for this project stems from the loss of heritage structures and cultural

identity of Kerala on a global scale..

Kerala's rich architectural legacy is the project's main focus, acting as a physical

reminder of the state's colourful past. The resort embraces Kerala's creative past and
cultural variety by incorporating traditional aesthetics, materials, and workmanship.

This fosters a sense of pride and community among both locals and visitors.

Furthermore, via proactive community engagement, the promotion of traditional arts
and crafts, and cultural events, the resort turns into a centre for cultural exchange

and preservation, resulting in a heightened awareness of Kerala's distinct legacy. In

the end, the project ensures that future generations will continue to treasure and

enjoy the rich cultural history of the region by both protecting and revitalising
                  Kerala's cultural identity.

                  1.2.2 Community Engagement

This project's ethical component is its dedication to responsibly and celebrating

Kerala's cultural legacy. Because the initiative places a strong emphasis on
community engagement, locals are made to actively participate in the preservation
