methods, which are in line with the rising interest in responsible travel worldwide.
2.2.5 Present Condition
Kerala is still a well-liked heritage tourism destination as of my most recent update,
with a diverse range of historical, cultural, and natural features. The state's
continuous efforts to preserve and exhibit its historic structures from the colonial
era, old temples, and traditional art forms demonstrate its dedication to protecting
its cultural legacy. Kerala's backwaters, which are filled with old houseboats,
continue to be a top choice for tourists looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded
by stunning scenery and rich cultural traditions.
The government of Kerala has also been aggressively pushing heritage tourism
programmes, such as cultural festivals, history walks, and conservation efforts to
save historical landmarks and customs. The state's attractiveness to heritage
enthusiasts is further enhanced by its distinctive fusion of martial arts, Ayurvedic
practices, and culinary pleasures.

development of a heritage resort. Called the "Venice of the East," its maze-like system of
canals, serene lakes, and verdant surroundings perfectly capture the natural beauty and
cultural allure of the area.
