1.2.3 Boosting the Economy
The community will gain a lot from the construction of the heritage resort. First off,
the project creates jobs for local artisans, craftsmen, and labourers. The
community's sustainable livelihoods are supported and the local economy is
stimulated by this influx of economic activity.
Then, placing a strong emphasis on community involvement, the project guarantees
that locals will have a stake in the resort's success and maintenance. Through the
provision of skill development seminars, collaborations with local artisans, and
involvement in decision-making processes, the project enables the community to
actively engage in and reap the benefits of tourism-related activities.
In addition, the resort's dedication to supporting customary arts, crafts, and cultural
events gives local artists and entertainers a platform to share their abilities and
customs with a wider audience. Kerala's cultural legacy is preserved, and local
cultural practitioners benefit from increased visibility and revenue as a result.
Further promoting economic growth and diversification, the heritage resort's influx
of visitors also creates chances for local business owners to sell goods and services
including handicrafts, guided tours, and traditional cuisine.
All things considered, the heritage resort project improves the lives of the
inhabitants by creating jobs, encouraging community involvement, conserving
cultural customs, and boosting regional economic growth.
