2.2.4.3. Administrative Facility

The administrative facility is common to both the extension and

existing structures. It is located equidistant from both and hence equally
accessible.

2.2.4.4. Structural System

The new extension block is made entirely of steel frameworks. Both the
Exhibition and Convention halls are made of steel structural systems. The

main structure is of I sections, that have cross bracings to support wind loads

(Figure 18). Neatly, these bracings are hidden behind partition walls, and are

accessible as well. The structure is also clear for the 43m width, and thereby
steel girders with truss systems are used to support the floor above and the

roof.
