2.2.4.5. Air-conditioning System
The entire structure is air-conditioned through an air-handling-unit
system as seen in Figures 19 and 20. Cool water pipes feed these systems kept
in accessible service corridors on either side of the structure, ensuring a
constant supply of cold air. These pipes received chilled water from chiller
units that are located on the service block adjacent to the extension. To
address the volume of people, insulated fresh air pipes are also provided to
mix in treated air from time to time.
