2.3.2. Site Outline & Zoning

The Concert Hall is located within the campus of the Lady Andal School

and is hired as a venue for private events on weekends and weekday evenings
                     – when the school is not functional. In doing so, the Concert Hall uses the

same entry and exits of the school and makes use of the school’s playground

as open-parking provision, as seen in Figure 22. The auditorium is open

planned- in that, from the drop off area, the lobby, ticket counters, circulation
corridors, and access doors are all open on the sides without being walled in.

A large volume of open space is also provided around the hall to accommodate

the volumes of crowds gathered here.

                     2.3.3. Access & Circulation

                     2.3.3.1. Vehicular Access
Vehicular entry and exit are through the main school gate. This leads

to a long driveway with a drop-off area that is along the centre of the

auditorium. Beyond this drop-off area, vehicles are led to the open ground for
parking. Separate provisions and spaces are available for both 2-wheeler and

4-wheeler parking. Vehicles return crossing the same drop-off area and exit

                     gate.

                     2.3.3.2. Pedestrian Access

No exclusive pedestrian access is provided from the entry. The

vehicular driveway to the drop-off area is common for pedestrians as well. This

makes it difficult to access at peak show times. From the drop-off area, the
open lobby and access areas are wholly pedestrian, as seen in Figure 23, paved

and provisioned with ramps for ease in access.
