                    Synopsis

A “Wellness and Cultural Eco Park” is a dedicated space designed to provide a harmonious
environment that fosters both physical and mental well-being, as well as an appreciation for cultural
heritage and ecological sustainability. The concept integrates elements of nature, culture, and healing
practices to create a holistic experience for visitors.

The park offers a dedicated space for individuals to engage in activities that enhance their physical,
mental, and emotional well-being. It provides an escape from the stresses of modern life and
promotes a healthier lifestyle through wellness programs, meditation, healing practices, cultural
exchange and community engagement. Basically, the need of a “Wellness and Cultural Eco Park”
lies in its ability to create a positive impact on individuals, communities, and the environment,
fostering a holistic and sustainable approach to well-being and cultural enrichment.
The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) proposed a 'Spiritual and Cultural Eco-
Park' on East Coast Road (ECR). The site is spread over an area of approximately 223 acres and is
proposed to be redeveloped into a public space and a cultural hub, for the locals and large number of
domestic and international tourists visiting ECR every year.

Taking this live proposal as an example into a hypothetical project as “Wellness and Cultural Eco
Park”. By emphasizing inclusivity, cultural diversity, nature-based spirituality, and shared values, a
“Wellness and Cultural Eco Park” without specific religious affiliations can serve as a unifying space
that benefits a broad and diverse audience.
To serve as a social hub, by bringing people together for recreational activities, cultural programs,
events and meditation. Through a thoughtful blend of architecture, culture, and nature, the project
aspires to redefine the urban landscape, offering a space that resonates with the community while
embracing the principles of sustainability and inclusivity. To create an inclusive space that brings
                     individuals from diverse backgrounds.
