Synopsis
This architectural thesis explores the harmonious integration of a resort and winery on a sprawling
farmstead in accordance with the Madhya Pradesh Board of Tourism's vision for a comprehensive
tourism destination. Recognizing the potential for a seamless fusion of agritourism and luxury
hospitality, this project aims to enhance the existing winery and incorporate a resort, creating a unique
and immersive experience for visitors. The methodology embraces a multidisciplinary approach,
encompassing architectural design, landscape architecture, and sustainable practices. Initial site
analysis and contextual research lay the foundation for a design that respects the natural landscape,
preserves the agricultural character of the farm, and responds to the needs of both the hospitality and
winemaking industries.
The envisioned resort and winery integration will result in a destination that not only offers luxurious
accommodation and exceptional winemaking facilities but also provides a platform for educational
and cultural exchange. Guests will have the opportunity to engage in the winemaking process,
participate in farm-to-table experiences, and immerse themselves in the vibrant local culture. The
resort's architecture embraces the agrarian aesthetic, featuring sustainable construction techniques
and green roofs that seamlessly merge with the landscape.
This integrated resort and winery proposal envisions a symbiotic relationship between agriculture,
hospitality, and viticulture. By combining these elements, the project seeks to elevate the visitor
experience while contributing to the economic development of the region. In conclusion, the
integration of a resort and winery on the farmstead holds the potential to redefine the tourism
landscape in Madhya Pradesh, offering a holistic and enriching experience that celebrates the natural
beauty and cultural heritage of the region.
