                  3.1 Copenhagen Zoo, Denmark

Copenhagen Zoo, founded in 1859, is a leading zoological garden in Denmark, known for

its dedication to conservation. It provides visitors with a wide variety of animal exhibits,

educational initiatives, and a strong emphasis on animal welfare, scientific research, and the

conservation of biodiversity. Home to approximately 3,000 animals from over 200 species,

the zoo is designed with numerous habitats that simulate natural environments, ensuring the
well-being of its diverse inhabitants. Spread over 27 acres (11 hectares), Copenhagen Zoo

offers a comprehensive and engaging wildlife experience.

                  3.1.1 In-person visit inferences

                     ● Positives - During a visit to Copenhagen Zoo, several positive aspects were

observed that significantly enhance both the animal and visitor experiences.

The zoo excels in creating naturalistic exhibits, using architectural designs
that closely mimic natural habitats. This approach not only supports the

welfare of the animals by providing them with environments that resemble

their wild counterparts but also deeply enriches the visitor experience. The
pathways and viewing points are thoughtfully designed, offering ample

opportunities for engaging and learning about the animals. Additionally, the

zoo showcases innovative architectural designs in certain exhibits, which not

only improve functionality but also add to the aesthetic appeal of the space.

These elements together make Copenhagen Zoo a leading example of modern
                         zoo design and management.

                     ● Negatives - One significant issue is the space limitations, which hinder the
potential for expanding or renovating certain animal enclosures. This

constraint not only affects architectural enhancements but also has led to

some habitats being notably small, with visible signs of distress and

depression among the animals. Additionally, the zoo faces issues with
