Outside the station beautiful and a functional open plaza is created to keep the
circulation efficient. Adequate spaces is provided at the front to avoid
uservehicular conflict. This space also encourages a no hawker zone for 150m
to relieve the space of crowding. The open plaza is divided into six squares
with space for pedestrian movement . Two squares of parking lot for CIDCO
office and two squares of parking lot for railway users. The remaining two
squares are allocated for taxi and bus stand. A number of kiosks were installed
between these squares offering a variety of food and services. High end food
shops were aligned along the road beneath the mall on both the sides. This clear
distinguishing of shops cater to the needs of fast moving crowd.
Multifunctional 5 shops were also installed making the entire area a bustling
urban square. The station with its two large subways also connects the
pedestrian movement across the tracks.
