6.1.8. Site Additions
With all built volumes finalised and the spine acting as the connecting
element, access and approach for all users and purposes was clarified.
To keep the site clean and neat, and to provide equidistant access and
reachability, a basement parking has been proposed in between the two built
volumes. Above this a large central plaza is provided, with two corridors of
open public spaces volume each abutting the exhibition centre and the
auditorium. The plaza also leads to a series of steps to access the canal front.
