Tête-à-tête

            TECH CHAT WITH DIRECTOR-CDC

The Career Development Centre (CDC) plays an integral role in creating the illustrious placement record of
VIT. The centre further facilitates training activities to prepare students to face campus interviews by
arranging training in aptitude tests, group discussions, preparing for technical and HR interviews through
professional trainers and VIT alumni. Moreover the Centre aims to promote the industry certification courses
and ensures students get placed in the best of both national and international companies. Also the centre
promotes the career counseling by organizing guidance lectures by senior corporate personnel and most
importantly by the immediately placed senior students.
“It would be great if all students start studying
intensively from their very first year of collegiate
education and have good CGPA along with practical
know-how. Based on the requirement of recruiters
across sectors and based on the current changing trend,
the Mechanical engineering students are also expected
to know programming (mainly Python). Internships in
core and allied companies add more value to a CV.
Hence, students shall take steps to do more interns from
their first year onwards. To add on, an “Evaluated
Industry Certification” is a valuable testament. CDC
offers basket of industry certification courses with Dr. V. Samuel Rajkumar
proper evaluation criteria. All students should make use Director – Career Development
of these certification courses. Centre (CDC), VIT.

students are expected to be multi-faceted. In fact, Mechanical Engineering students who have start-ups and
