FACULTY OUTREACH
As a part of Erasmus+ CBHE project proposal on “Computational Fluid Dynamics” Review Meetings & Training
Program Dr. R. Vasudevan, Dr. N. Sekarapandian, Dr. Bibin John and Dr. S. Sreeja visited University of Patras,
Patras, Greece from 30-05-2023 to 05-06-2023 and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain from
06-06-2023 to 09-06-2023.
During the visit, collaboration to UG,

sides, submission of project proposal

A team of VIT faculty Dr. A. K. Jeevanantham, Dr. B. Ashok,
Dr. C. Kannan and Dr. R. Thirumalaivasan visited Glasgow
Caledonian University (GCU), Scotland, UK during the period
MechnoVIT • Delivered keynote sessions in the workshop “E-Mobility for
14-05-2023 to 17-05-2023. During their visit, the following
activities were carried out.
Sustainable Societies which was jointly organized by GCU
and VIT, sponsored by the Royal Academy of Engineering,
UK
• The VIT faculty team also evaluated the project work
accomplished by the GCU students.
Dr Jayakrishna Kandasamy worked as Visiting Researcher at the Centre for
MechnoVIT Dr. Jayakrishna delivered a talk on "Circular Symbiotic Network for
Procurement and Supply Chain Management, School of Management, Cranfield
University, UK for 3 months. The School of Management funded this position. During the
stay, he worked with Dr Abhijeet Ghadge and Professor Michael Bourlakis while
researching on ‘Managing sustainability risks in supply chains’.
Waste Valorization: The Role of I4.0 Tools" on 22 March 2023 as part of
the Logistics week organized by the Centre for Supply Chain
Improvement (CSCI), University of Derby, UK.
CO-OPERATION AGREEMENTS
MechnoVIT RWTH Aachen signed MoU with VIT Vellore for the exchange of students, faculty, joint research and twinning
programs on 11/11/2022. Recently the Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering, VIT Vellore signed the
cooperation agreement (CA) with RWTH International Academy gGmbH that agree to qualify undergraduate
students in the “RWTH 4+2 Program” on 05/06/2023. This CA will offer 10 scholarships of 50 % each year for
students of VIT Vellore.
Office of International Relations facilitated 3+1 Bachelor double degree in Mechanical Engineering and 1+1
8 Masters Double Degree agreements on 25/05/2023
