ACCOMPLISHMENTS

FACULTY OUTREACH MechnoVIT

Dean (SMEC), Asst. Director Alumni Affairs, and students Mr.
Rama Aravinth (20BME0105) and Mr. Vishnu Aravind
(20BME0405) visited Cranfield University from 14-05-2023 to
09-06-2023 as part of the ongoing funded project. The team
also visited Warwick University's Advanced Materials and
Manufacturing Centre in the United Kingdom and discussed
with Prof. Prakash Srirangam about potential cooperation
between WMG and VIT Vellore. MechnoVIT

The Dean (SMEC) visited University College London, UK as a part of
the networking and collaboration. He had an interaction with UCL
professors Dr. Bele Eral, Dr. Ramanarayanan Balachandran, Dr.
Midhat, Dr. Manish Tiwari for collaborative research. He initiated
the discussion on proposal submissions in the coming days with the
faculty members at VIT. The MoU between UCL and VIT Vellore will

be initiated shortly and facilitated through his visit.

Dr. Sandeep S Ahankari visited Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMCen),
Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Metro Manila, Philippines and had
Interaction with Er. Joseph Alfreid Garcia, Dr. Mark Manuel, Er. Fredliza.

He also visited Cebu Technological University, Philippines and interacted with Dr.
Jonathan, Professor, Dr. Ronald Galindo, Dean, Mechanical Dept., Dr. Hana Tunacao,
Research Director and students of College of Engineering, Cebu Technological
University, Philippines.

During the visit Dr. Sandeep had a meeting with Dr. Erwin P Enriwuez, Professor,
Dept. of Chemistry, Ateneo De Manila University and a presentation to the MechnoVIT
polymer/chemistry students. He also visited Interacting with students and faculty of
Bataan Peninsula State University, Philippines.

Dr. Kishore Kumar Mahato gave an invited talk on the environmental durability of glass
fiber/epoxy (GE) and nano-enhanced GE composites filler at the Hybrid Conference on
Nano-Structured Materials and Polymers (ICNP-2023), which took place on May 12, 13, and
14, 2023 at Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, Kerala, India. He also served as a

Dr. M. Manikandan, Dr. Arun Tom Mathew attended a two day DRDO- Academia conclave at DRDO Bawan,
New Delhi between 25-26 May 2023.
