SMEC Training Programs

TRAINING PROGRAMS

School of Mechanical Engineering organized a training Programme
on “High Pressure Die Casting” for faculty, staff and scholars. The
training session was handled by Mr. Venkata Rahavan,Managing
Director, Swam Equipment Pvt. Ltd., Chennai.

SMEC Organized a training program on Bruker Hysitron TS 77 Select Nano-
indenter and Dynamic Nanoindentation. The facility is commissioned at
the SMEC and the training program was conducted on 23 and 24 August
2023.

Training on the Metal 3D Printer EOS M290 scheduled Training session was organized on the X-ray
at the SMEC from 24-07-23 to 28-07-23. This facility is photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) facility
established under the PURSE scheme. established as a part of the grant received from the
DST- PURSE scheme. The training sessions were
held on 29-06-2023 and 30-06-2023.

Training session on Micro-CT Scanner was arranged Demonstration and training programme on Oil fired
during August 08 and 09, 2023 at SMEC. The facility water tube boiler with steam turbine setup was
was established from the funding from DST & VIT organized on 06-07-2023 at Thermal Engineering
under the PURSE scheme. Systems Lab. Mr. Santhosh Kumar B, Manager,
Techquip Lab Solutions, Bangaluru handled the
session.
