EXTERIOR VIEW
The large glass interior allows for unrestricted views in every direction. The library and office
windows look out onto the park to the west, while the reception room overlooks the street. The
exhibition hall provides an unhindered view of the former runway and the planes parked outside
while coexisting peacefully with the undeveloped space in front of it. The collection is set
against an exquisite backdrop in the northern wing's muted wall and floor colors. The aircraft
don't appear to be just museum pieces; rather, they appear prepared for takeoff.
Materials and Interior
The building's natural, raw-looking elements were chosen to contrast with the surrounding lush
vegetation. The presence of visual linkages between various portions of the entire space was
embraced as a key design idea, and some of the internal walls are glazed to facilitate this
interaction. The light and colorful surroundings will complement the interior spaces.
Architectural concrete, left exposed on both the interior and exterior, forms the outer shell that
defines the geometry of the building.
Anodized aluminum was suggested as a stainvell detail and wall finishing material in certain
areas.
Parts of the display furniture repeatedly featured this content. High-load concrete with integrated
color was used to construct the ground floor.
