Spatial Arrangement: The spatial layout of these houses is generally symmetrical, with a small

pillared verandah in the front divided by a central main entrance way into the residence. The
rooms are located on the either side of the passage continuing from the main entrance. The

residences are planned carefully to accommodate the needs of residents, guests and livestock.
The courtyards serve as a multipurpose space for household chores, social activities, religious

ceremonies, while fostering a sense of oneness.
