4.3 Site Contours

                       Thesis Report V-SPARC VIT

The proposed location has a topography with a maximum height of 13 m and a

minimum height of 7 meters. Backwater has caused heavy slopes in the

southern half of the site. Each contour has a 1.3m height difference.

                     4.3.1 Working with Contours

Four ways to contours while designing.

Preservation: leaving the existing features of the site undisturbed

Alteration: Make adjustments to the site's existing structure to meet the
                     requirements and demands.

Accentuation: Taking advantage of the site's existing characteristics and

highlighting them, as well as developing around the features to enhance them.

Destruction: Excavating or removing existing features from the site eliminates

the need to analyze the site's contour. However, this is rarely desired and is
only used in extreme situations if there is no other option.
