common area which can be the courtyard region of the building. This is purposefully done in
order to bring in more interaction between the people who are staying in the cohousing unit.
The top floor has a central balcony, which also brings in the same effect. The open nature of
the building makes sure that proper ventilation and airflow takes place within the building.
The open nature also ensures different views for the people living in the building. The
segregated design of each apartment in the building ensures that ventilation doesn’t get
affected as well as there is proper flow of circulation between the people staying in the co-
housing unit. This area also brings in a point of interaction or an interactive space.
