Synopsis
The evolution of stadium design and the ways to improve accessibility for all. Stadiums are more
than just locations to watch sports, as we have discovered through examining various cases and
conducting interviews. Communities gather in these locations. We therefore set out to create a
stadium that would serve all users, including families, individuals with disabilities, and football
enthusiasts. The ideas included utilizing eco-friendly materials and smart technology to create a more
contemporary and sustainable stadium. In an effort to unite even more people, we also considered
the possibilities for using the stadium for other occasions, concerts. The placement of seats, the
availability of restrooms, wayfinding systems, sensory-friendly features, and inclusive design
important research topics. The thesis commences its investigation by examining the historical
progression of sports, highlighting their crucial function in promoting diversity and tearing down
physical barriers. It provides a framework by emphasizing how sports have become increasingly
important in reflecting society values. This historical context provides the framework for a thorough
examination of football stadium designs around the globe, focusing on both inclusivity and
functionality. It becomes an effort to carefully inspect current football stadiums in order to find
positive design elements and areas that might use more work.Beyond just functionality, the emphasis
is on capturing the spirit of inclusivity and highlighting the necessity of designing areas that meet the
various needs of both soccer players and spectators. The integration of inclusive settings that go
beyond physical constraints is essential to this research because it improves the overall experience
for people with a range of abilities.
