INDUSTRY VISITS

An Industrial Visit to Amara Raja Batteries in Chittoor, was arranged MechnoVIT
for SMEC students by Dr. Srinivasa Gupta N as a part of the Six Sigma
certification program.. During this visit, all the participants were
offered an opportunity to observe the ongoing Six Sigma
implementation projects, and understood the use of Shainin's DoE
tools for process improvement

MechnoVIT
An Industrial Visit to Shardlow India Limited, Hosur and Ashok
Leyland Hosur, was arranged by Dr. Sundarmali. Students had
hands-on experience on machining of Crank Shaft and their
Quality Control & Testing.

During a Visit to Ashok Leyland, students had a wonderful
experience and involved in manufacturing of Light Medium
and Heavy Commercial Vehicles and their Quality Control &
testing.

An Industrial Visit to CUMI Plant , Serkadu, Vellore
was arranged by Dr. Soumen Pal. During the visit MechnoVIT
students had a chance to visit the Refractory Works
Division and also observed the process of making
Coated/Bonded Abrasives along with Super
Refractories, Industrial Ceramics, Electro Minerals,
and Ceramic Fibres.

Dr. S Renold Elsen organized an Industry visit to
AMACE Manufacturing Solutions, Bengaluru.
This visit served as an exercise for a better
understanding about SLM Additive
manufacturing processes. MechnoVIT

An Industrial Visit to Integral Coach Factory was arranged by
Dr. John Rajan A. Students had a hands-on experience on
various CNC cutting processes during different stages in coach
manufacturing. During the visit, students had a chance to
interact with the director ICF and were accepted for Students
internship and Training programs.

An Industrial Visit to KRAMSKI Stamping & Molding MechnoVIT
India Private Limited, Eraiyankadu Village, Vellore was
arranged by Dr. V G Sridhar, PG students. During the
visit, students had a chance to observe various
manufacturing and allied inspection techniques
(Machine Vision Inspection) using at KRAMSKI Stamping
and Molding India Pvt Ltd. 11
