PROGRAMS ORGANIZED
Inauguration of RAISE 2023 Conference
The First Edition of RAISE Conference2023 (December 20–22, 2023), an “International Conference on Recent Advances in Industrial
and Systems Engineering,” is jointly organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering (SMEC) with the UK and USA universities,
including the University of Sussex - UK; the University of Derby - UK; Cranfield University - UK; Oklahoma State University - USA; and
a training session on "Inductively coupled plasma mass
Northern Illinois University - USA. This conference is held in association with the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Institute of
spectrometry (ICP-MS)" procured under the DST-PURSE scheme
Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) and is sponsored by AUTODESK
on October 16, 2023,
The conference focused on “Industry 5.0" and on how to improve issues concerning industrial engineering such as high production
costs, quality and services, worker safety, and environmental sustainability and regulations.
SMEC organized a Two-day Workshop on Converge CFD Software (5-6, October
2023). The workshop focused on how to set, run, and post-process CFD and heat
transfer simulations using Converge CFD. The tutorials also covered simple fluid flow,
heat transfer examples, and complex IC engine benchmark problems.
SMEC organized a SERB-funded two-day National workshop entitled "Fuel Cell:
Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Components to Cell Stack for Automotive
Industries," on 18-10-23.
A one-day seminar on "e- Mobility" was organized on 26-12-23. This event is being held in collaboration with Aston University and Kings
College London, UK, as part of the Going Global Partnership Call 2022.
