MoU and Inauguration Events

Memorandum of Understanding

Schwing Stetter India Pvt. Ltd., a leading name in the construction equipment manufacturing industry,
signed an official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VIT on September 6, 2023. This collaboration
will ensure an opportunity for the employees of SchwingStetter to enroll themselves in a specialized, tailor-
made academic program created by VIT that will further enhance their skills and help them contribute to
their company’s growth and development. The first batch of 25 employees will have the opportunity to
enroll in this specialized program, which will be delivered through a blended learning mode.

INAUGURATION OF RENOVATED COMPUTING CENTRE

The School of Mechanical Engineering (SMEC) inaugurated the renovated "T.S. Santhanam Computing
Centre" in VIT. This computing centre consist of four high-end, Wi-Fi-enabled laboratories, including
Engineering Design Visualization, Product Design, Engineering Simulation, and Computational Engineering.
All the latest versions of software are included in these hi-tech workstations that will immensely benefit the
students and research scholars.
