1999 Batch Alumni Silver Jubilee Reunion ‐ 20 July

The Silver Jubilee Reunion for the 1999 batch alumni was held on 20 July 2024 at the VIT
th
Vellore campus. Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan, Vice President Mr. Sankar Viswanathan,
Vice Chancellor Dr. V.S. Kanchana Bhaaskaran, Pro‐Vice Chancellor

Dr. Partha Sarathy Mallick, Registrar Dr. Jayabarathi T, Director and Assistant Director
of Alumni Affairs, along with 219 attendees comprising of alumni from the 1999 batch,

their families, faculty, and staff were attended the event.

During the event, alumni representatives from various programs shared fond memories

of their time at VIT and expressed their gratitude. In support of their alma mater, they
generously contributed Rs. 3,76,500 to the VITAA fund. Additionally, the alumni of the

1999 batch took the opportunity to felicitate the teaching and non‐teaching staff who had

been part of their journey during their academic years. The reunion was a nostalgic and

heartfelt celebration of the lasting bond between the alumni and VIT.

meeting focused on exploring the possibilities of

establishing a VIT alumni chapter in Thailand.
