               3.2.1. About the site


               Szentkút  Pilgrim  Center  is  situated  in  the  North-East  region  of  Hungary,  in  the

               Matra-mountains, near Mátraverebély village. The place has been a pilgrimage site
               for about 900 years because of the holy water of the nearby springs. Seven years ago,

               the Franciscan Order, who operates the site, decided to reconstruct the entire area,

               including  renovating  historical  landmark  buildings  and  creating  new  ones  for

               visitors. Generally, 200,000 people visit each year.
























               3.2.2. Construction details

                   •  The whole structure is created in concrete and wood.

                   •  Imitation of façade by sliding shading system.

                   •  All the buildings are fastening by open-covered corridor, which are wrapped by
                       long shading wooden structure.
