The contours are 1m higher than each other. The
Road level as been taken as a tentative ground level
for analysis and design. The site has 24 contours and
the longest stretch at the site is 329 m in length. The
distance between the contour varies from 3.2 to
                                                        22m.
The water flow runs along the sharp edges of the
contour that is toward the center.
Locating building services and road/ pathways all
depends on the pattern of the contours.

Figure 4.15 Contours, Contour section, water flow along contour and illustrations.
The illustrations are done for Understanding of how to design pathways on contours is also
essential. If the road runs parallel to the contour, then no level difference of much if the road
runs perpendicular to the contour and the slope ration is less than 1:12 the slope will be steep
and will be uncomfortable to walk through. To eradicate this problem the solution of diagonal
road on the contour will be done.
