ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Making my thesis work come full circle involves not only my individual efforts, but

also those of everyone who has served as a guiding force over the last few months.

At first, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my Internal Guide, Prof.

Hareesh Haridasan, for his constant assistance, critical insights that helped in shaping the
project, motivation, and valuable resources throughout. The discussions were always

enlightening and evoke new perspectives of looking at the project. I would like to thank our
Director, Dr. Madhumati A., for this academic opportunity and Design Chair, Ar. N. Devi

Prasad, for helping have a strong justification for the project selected. I would also like to
express my gratitude to my External Guide, Ar. Elias Koshy, for valuable comments during

the reviews that helped in formulating better design strategies and have a good grasp of my

project.

Understanding the background of the project location, its people and culture would

not have been possible without the insights shared by the Kishkinda Trust-Anegundi. I
extend my gratitude to everyone involved in adding such a strong value to Anegundi, setting

up sustainable practices and giving a deeper meaning to existence.

I am forever grateful to my professors, classmates, and seniors for setting the standards
of work, and always motivating to strive to achieve better work.

At last, I owe this thesis to my parents and family, who have been my strength and
reason to do my best at everything. Their constant support has kept me motivated throughout.
