Centre, located in Bhuj, Gujarat, serves as a pioneering model for

promoting traditional craftsmanship and community engagement.

With a mission to create a democratic and empowering space,

KHAMIR brings together diverse stakeholders under one roof to

exchange ideas, collaborate, and celebrate the rich art and

traditions of the Kutch district.

● Empowering Space: KHAMIR's layout is inspired by the traditional

village street layout, featuring chowks (squares) and courtyards

that encourage interaction and collaboration among artisans,

designers, researchers, and visitors. This design ethos fosters a
