MechnoVIT VOICE OF STAKE HOLDERS
LUCRATIVE PLACEMENT OFFER
Mechanical Engineers not only build machines but also conquer
dauntless heights. As this quote stands true, I knew that I will have a hard time
qualifying for software companies because I had neither a degree in Computer Science
nor a 9+ CGPA. Instead of focusing on the negatives, I tried to stay as positive as
possible. I continued to work on my strengths (which was backend development)
MechnoVIT learning new technologies, not in the hopes of placement, but to upskill myself. Being Mr. Rajat Sablok
which brought me confidence and gave me a whole lot of positive energy. The scenario
for me has never been coding for hours but rather focusing on different projects and
a Vice-Chairperson of CodeChef VIT I would like to say that Clubs and Chapters in VIT
provide you an opportunity to be connected with like-minded peers, focus on
upscaling your skills, and be up to-date with the latest tech. Now comes the placement

season and I applied for the job in MTX.
There I faced 3 technical interview rounds, each more intense than the last one. From the very first
interview, I was sure that my not being from a Computer Science background will not be a deciding factor for
my being selected or not. They wanted someone who was confident in their skills and knew what they were
doing. My experience with working in startups of different scales helped me tremendously when it came to
answering questions with confidence, also the unending perseverance, support from my friends, and a hint of

luck really helped me to crack the MTX interviews. I want to tell nothing can stop you provided you work hard
and learn as much as you can without focusing most of your time thinking about the end goal.
I was in my first year, had freshly joined college and in the first two weeks, I started
feeling bored as we couldn't’t join clubs and chapters till we were in our second
semester. Pranav Srinivasan and Tuhin Sharma, the founders of Accio
Robotics(previously Illuminify Tech) were presenting about their startup which they
had recently started and that was the moment I felt yes this is who I wanted to work
with and learn from. In August 2019 I started interning and got exposed to various

new tech practices and learnt essential skills in the mechanical domain - 3D designing,
After the first wave of COVID cooled down, I felt that it was high time to build on the
idea. That was when I had the eureka moment to generalize the device for the masses
and release a multi-vital device that could measure essential vitals and lung health
effectively. To start off we received a grant from VIT TBI to pursue this idea and

prototype an initial solution.
In 2020, we participated in and won the Smart India Hackathon 2020 which gave us good money to start off with.
We then applied for the CISCO ThingQbator program from December 2020 to December 2021 where we came in
the top 10 teams winning the seed grant amount.
During the summer of 2021, I was selected for the IB Hubs student accelerator program, a 4-week course of
MechnoVIT Tech Pvt. Ltd. and started working on our HealthTech brand Pebbl.life. We have since raised funding from
intense startup skills and business acumen. Finally, in October 2021 with my cofounder Kshitij Madduri - a friend
who was able to complement my skillsets in finance, marketing and HR- incorporated our company Unlearners
GradCapital and are working on our vision of getting affordable and smart healthcare to every home in India.
My two cents to anyone reading this would be to keep learning as much as you can, try to gain as much
knowledge as you can, always have an open mind and build for the society, not just for the rich few who run the
world. Everyone deserves the best and the more privileged ones are responsible for delivering value - us! We are
20 currently incubated in VIT and you can find us working in TT003-D, cheers!
