Faculty Visits
INTERNATIONAL
The faculty members of SMEC Dr. Vasudevan R, Dr. Denis Ashok S, Dr, Bibin
John, Dr. Ashok B, Dr. Sreeja Sadasivan, Dr. Satyajit Gosh visited Mapúa
University, Manila, Philippines from 31/03/2024 to 04/04/2024. The visit was as a
part of the proposal “Skill Enhancement in Additive Manufacturing and
Challenges Involved in Occupational Health and Safety: Transport, Energy, and
Healthcare Applications," funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering - UK
Dr. Sakthivadivel D participated in PYROASIA SYMPOSIUM 2023 held
at The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, organized by The
University of Nottingham, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He presented his
research findings in the field of the gasification technology.
Dr. P. Padmanathan attended the 14th International Conference on
Computational Heat and Mass Transfer held at Dusseldorf, Germany during
02.08.2023 to 08.08.2023. He presented the research work entitled
Computational analysis of Effect of Injection angles in Strut Based Scramjet
Combustor.
Dr. Sreeja Sadasivan served as a post doctoral fellow at Lublin University of
Technology, Department of Automation, Poland from 04-05-2023 to 03-11-2023. She
was involved in the research titled “ Efficient Wind Induced Vibration Energy
Harvesting Mechanism and its Optimization“ funded by National Science Centre,
Poland under the project SHENG-II.
Dr. Bibin John and Dr. Sreeja Sadasivan visited Lublin
University of Technology in Poland to advance research in
aerodynamics, high-speed flow control, and flow-induced
vibration. Their visit strengthened bilateral cooperation
between LUT and VIT, established linkages with foreign
universities, and opened new avenues for future research
and academic cooperation.
Dr. Sreeja Sadasivan and Dr. Bibin John visited Silesian University of
Technology in Poland to initiate research collaboration in wind energy
harvesting through vortex-induced vibration
