AWARDS

Dr. B. Ashok has been awarded with "Distinguished International Associate" by Royal Academy of MechnoVIT
Engineering, UK. Dr. C. Kannan and Dr. T. Vijayakumar from SMEC, VIT and Dr. Byron Mason,
Loughborough University, UK., are other the collaborators of this proposal.

Dr. Dsilva Winfred Rufuss and his team research work published in the Renewable Energy Journal
has been appeared in "Current Science Reports" in the February Edition. The article entitled “the
application of composite thermal energy storage and permanent magnets to enhance the
productivity in solar desalination” was an outcome of the CAPSTONE project work of our
undergraduate students and joint collaborations.

Dr. M. Nageswara Rao has been selected as a member of THERMEC- 2023 Executive Scientific MechnoVIT
Committee- 12th International Conference on Processing and Manufacture of Advanced Materials –
Processing, Fabrication, Properties and Applications being organized by Technische Universitaet,
Wien, Austria.

Dr. Padmanabhan K received an award of
“Fellow of Chennai Academy of Sciences” from
Madras University, Chennai, The award event held
at Madras University Building, Guindy.

Dr. R. Subashini has been awarded with the
National 'Dynamic Teacher Award' by Government MechnoVIT
of India certified-Avishkar Achievers Award, India
(Category-Event Management - Faculty Convener
Riviera 2020).

PATENTS

Dr. Arun Tom Mathew, Dr. Devendiran S, Dr. Venkatesan K, and Dr. Rajeswari C granted with a
patent entitled “ Educational Toy for Teaching Basic Malayalam Language” with an application MechnoVIT
Number: 342488-001.

Dr. M. Natarajan published a Patent (Application No: 202221010283 A) entitled 'Integrated Driver
Behaviour And Battery Optimization Techniques Using Machine Learning' on 11-03-2022.

Dr. Fathima Patham, Mr. Eltonjohn Tony Dsouza and Mr. Sarvesh Makarand Kulkarni
published a patent entitled “A Laundry ball to trap micro fibers” in the IPR Journal with an
application number 202041033962.

Dr. Renold Elsen Selvam, Mr. Mahendran Thangavel and Jishita Ravoor published a patent MechnoVIT
(Application Number: 202141057146) entitled “Three-Dimensional (3d) Printer For Printing A
Multi-Layer And A Multimaterial Extrusion” on 18-02-2022.

Dr. R. Subashini published a patent (Application Number: 202241007996) entitled “Effect of
adequate staff welfare package on worker Productivity” in IPR Journal.
