How do you describe the nature of your job?
I work for Boeing, India which is an aircraft manufacturing company. I am the Lead Systems Engineer

I have been working in the aviation/aerospace domain for 16+ years now. There have been many
technological advancements, new regulatory requirements and compliances that came up in these years
which are very important to be aware of. It’s not just the aviation industry that is going through this
change, every industry more or less is on the same boat.
What are the challenges faced by you before and after joining the industry?
The challenge before getting into a job is not knowing which way to go and when the opportunity
comes I am not sure if that’s the right one for me. My first opportunity was from an aviation company and
MechnoVIT domain related information that is out there into me. But fortunately I am passionate about the aerospace
I am not an aviation engineer by degree. One of the biggest challenges for me is to ingest the vast aviation

What is your advice for the newcomers joining your industry?
Having the passion and enthusiasm to learn new things is the key to success. If you are passionate about
something and have a plan to execute it then go for it. Or if there is an opportunity that comes to you then
have an open mind to take it as a challenge and master it.
What are the hardcore and softcore skills/areas needed from someone joining your industry?
This is an individual choice. In the modern world, learning a technology or skill is not just associated
with a specific industry. Say for example big data, data analytics, blockchain etc. are all evolving everyday
and can be applied in any industry.

Career development is an ongoing activity. Both the Organization and the aviation industry will have

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years and the next 10 years?
I would like to see myself as a globally recognized aviation domain expert. I would envision to see my
expertise being leveraged to build some applications that help enhance the industry operations.

What is your suggestion to handle failure/depression in the workplace?
What is important is a sincere effort and being courageous enough to acknowledge the fact that the
thing/work has not been done even after a sincere effort. As long as one learns from a failure and makes
sure not to repeat the mistakes there is no room for depression.

I do not have a specific person whom I can say is an inspiration. I try to learn something from
