Alumni Interaction with University
Alumni engagement with VIT extends beyond financial contributions. Alumni have been
contributing valuable industry insights, mentoring current students, and participating in
various networking events and involving in the university events. Their professional
experiences helped to enhance VIT’s curriculum by providing real‐world perspectives to
the curriculum. By sharing their expertise, offering internships, and participating in guest
lectures, alumni continuously play a crucial role in VIT to enrich the academic
environment. Here there are few samples of Alumni interactions.

Alumni support in Industry and Academia Interaction ‐ 08 June
Mr. Aslam Sheriff M (B.E. ECE 1990), CEO, SARA, Leather Industries, Ranipet shared his
connection with professor Dr. John Patrick Saldanha, and Mr. David Smith from West
Virginia University,
USA with VIT. On

Alumni participation in Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), VIT – 28 June

Mrs. Muthazhaghi G (B.E ECE 1990), Chairperson, VITAA, Consultant‐ ERP, DT & BI,
Ex‐Vice President ‐ Delivery & Support, Ramco Systems Ltd. Chennai served as an
Alumni representative in IQAC for the period
(2021‐23) and was recognized during the
valedictory function of IQAC General Body
meeting held on 28 June 2023 in VIT Vellore

campus . She gave her feedback and suggestions to improve the teaching learning process
towards the industry needs & best practices.
