Silver Jubilee Reunion of 1997 batch alumni members was organized on 24 July
th
2022 at VIT Vellore campus. The get together started with a grand recollection of

college life memories, success stories, an exchange of greetings between family

members of Alumni, and sharing respect and gratitude to their teaching staff and

Management. It was followed by a guided campus tour. Dr.T.Jayabarathi,

Registrar, VIT recollected her memories and shared her experience of teaching to

the 1997 batch. Dr. Rambabu Kodali, Vice Chancellor, stressed the importance of

alumni meetings and urged the alumni to visit the campus once every year.

Mr. Sankar Viswanathan, Vice President explained about the growth of the

Institute in the last 25 years both in terms of quality and quantity.

Honourable Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan addressed the alumni and advised

them to prioritize their health and family. He recollected numerous important

events that took place at the institute during 1993 and 1997 that included

the launch of pioneer batch of Computer Science Engineering and the

inauguration of T S Santhanam Computing Centre. His speech forced the

audience to go into their good old days they had spent in VIT campus.

He expressed his utmost happiness in meeting the alumni who had met after
25 years after completing their graduation at VIT.
