Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy


               The 2020 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy was
                            th
               released on 15  August 2020. Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has been ranked 801-900 this year
               (2020) moving up from last year’s 901-1000 among 26,000 Universities of the World. VIT is the only
               Private Institution of India ranked in the Top 1,000 as per the list published in the Shanghai Ranking
               website, where it is also mentioned that VIT is one among the Top 9 out of 15 institutions of India

               published by ARWU this year. VIT entered this prestigious ranking in 2019.
