Briefly highlight the contributions of the department in generating new knowledge, basic
or applied.
In order to encourage new knowledge a method RBL (Research based learning) is
proposed for all UG and PG students particularly of PG students. Contrast to PBL which
was mentioned earlier in this method student s are encouraged to develop innovative
projects which leads to publication of a research paper or patent. SET conference was
conducted to encourage all students to submit and present their research work inside our
university. Best student research projects are rewarded suitably.

STRENGTHS
1.
The school has excellent infrastructure, including domain specific laboratories
associated with the technical divisions and Industry sponsored laboratories like Cisco.
2.
The School has 3,250 students and 124 strong committed faculty members apart from
visiting professors and distinguished professionals from industry.
3.
The faculty members are highly motivated and devoted to deliver highest quality
professional education to students and striving to excel in their own fields.
4.
The research and instructional programs at SITE strives to establish a strong
component of practical engagement with private enterprises.
5.
The curricula in SITE teach problem solving to design and development of Web
services and multimedia technologies.

To design, implement and evaluate a computer-based system, process, component, or
program to meet desired needs.

To analyze the local and global impact of technology on individuals, organizations
and society.

To identify and analyze user needs and take them into account in the selection,
creation, evaluation and administration of computer-based systems.

OPPORTUNITIES
1.
SITE is in continuous process of establishing strong industry-institute relations.

SITE focuses to provide a broad-based foundation in information technology (IT) and
Software Engineering to the students who seek careers in information service
providers, human-computer interface, information system developers, information
administrators and software engineers.

The school aims to provide cost-effective Information and Communication
Technology (ICT)-based solutions and value-added services to a variety of
organizations and also to meet the expectations of stakeholders.
