Yes, the faculty feedback on curriculum is obtained on the standpoint of its

content and its significance in the industry
ii.
required credit hours allotted,

possibility of achieving objectives from the course content
iv.
importance of real time scenarios
v.
the level of practical teaching possible
The department utilizes the feedback in syllabus revision, developing practical exposure to
the courses and enhancing teacher-student interaction.

students on staff, curriculum and teaching-learning-evaluation and how does the
department utilize the feedback?
On the students perspective, the faculties and teaching-learning- evaluation are assessed on
the basis of his/her (i) subject knowledge (ii) communication skills (iii) usage of relevant
practical examples in class (iv) usage of right mix of board, OHP, LCD etc (v)
encouragement given (vi) availability (vii) special attention to slow learners (viii) way of
giving assignments (individual/group assignment), proper evaluation.
The curriculum is assessed as follows: (i) Levels and competencies that will be useful for
his/her career (ii) Novelty of experiments offered in the lab (iii) Adequacy of number of
experiments offered in the lab.
The feedback so obtained is used to improve the curriculum design.

alumni and employers on the programmes offered and how does the department utilize the
feedback?
The feedback from employers and alumni are obtained on the basis of practical exposure
of the subject, application of the course in his/her career.
The department utilizes these feedbacks to improve the course content.

In the Year 2013
Mr. Ravi Shankar (2012 B.Tech. Information Technology) was presented with the Spot
Award. In his 8 month tenure at Deloitte he had been recognized for being a good team-
player, learning quickly the technology and applying the same to provide outstanding
service.
In the Year 2012
Ms. Narita and Mr. Ravi Shankar's (2012 B.Tech IT) presented the paper titled, "Online
Monitoring System, A centralized tool for NGO monitoring" in IEEE GHTC 2012
conference held in Seattle from 21st Oct. to 24th Oct. 2012. They represented VIT
University in the conference and were the youngest participant for the conference in
technical category of Connectivity and Communication. As a part of conference they
attended the felicitation ceremony of Hoover Medal Award (recognition of civic and
humanitarian achievements) for 2012 conferred to chairman emeritus of Infosys "N. R.
Narayana Murthy ".
In the year 2011
