1.4.2 Does the university elicit feedback on the curriculum from national
and international faculty? If yes, specify a few methods such as
conducting webinars, workshops, online discussions, etc. and its impact.
In BoS Meeting, the experts from other reputed universities are usually
invited. Based on their recommendations and suggestions, the necessary
modifications in the curriculum are carried out.
Apart from this, each school has an Advisory Board containing experts from
industry and academia. This Board also assesses the curricula of each
programme and recommends for updates and upgrades.
VIT University has set up a bench-marking system where its curriculum and
syllabus is prepared and revised on the lines of the curriculum followed in
reputed international universities.

1.4.4 What are the quality sustenance and quality enhancement measures
undertaken by the university in ensuring the effective development of the
curricula?
Regular QC Meetings:
Quality Circle Meetings are held twice in a semester.
The students give their feedback on the courses undertaken during the
semester. The feedback is then passed on to the faculty members handling the
course and to the Programme Chair for further action.
Programme Chair and Deans Meeting:
This is a school level meeting held
every week to discuss the issues related to academics.
Course Committee:
The Course Committee comprises the faculty members
handling the course in the present and past semesters. The responsibility of
the Committee is to update the syllabus of the course so as to meet the
demands and the requirements of the stake holders.
Programme Representative meetings:
Representative students from each
programme offered by the University are invited for periodic meetings to
discuss various student related issues.
