The institution has set up various bodies to attend to complaints and
grievances from all stakeholders.
Various bodies like the Honors Club, Student Council, Programme
Representative Councils, and Directorate of Students Welfare function
effectively to address the grievance of the students.
Separate cells are in operation to address the grievances from students,
faculty, women and non-teaching staff.
Management analyzes natures and causes of complaints at an
aggregated level and solves the issues to create harmony among the
stakeholders by appointing enquiry committees.
Counseling centre for students and employees has been functioning
with the help of well qualified Counselors.
Proctors help in solving student grievances at the grassroots level and
may also refer them to counselors if required.
An Appellate committee has been set-up to look into the matters
governing students of high importance
6.2.7 Does the University have a mechanism for analyzing student
feedback on institutional performance? If yes, what was the institutional
response?
In addition to the students feedback collected twice a year (Mid
Semester and End of Semester), the outgoing students and the alumni are also
asked to give feedback on the institutional performance through the VITAA
(VIT Alumni Association). The VITAA members meet for an Annual get-
together (VITAA Day) on January 26th, every year. All Alumni present are
taken around the campus with special emphasis on new facilities, recent
developments and ongoing research work.
Student feedback is analyzed by the management and relevant
suggestions are considered for further action.
6.2.8 Does the University conduct performance audit of the various
schools?
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell audits all the academic activities
of various Schools and Centres. The examination processes are subjected to
pre and post auditing. The IQAC nominates faculty across the Schools to
conduct the audit. Internal auditing is done at the School and faculty level.
Performance of the faculty, Division chairs, Deans and Schools are
evaluated by a committee consisting of Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellors
and Deans.
