recommendation of the reviewing and enquiry committees, this shall be
binding on the University;
b) To approve appointments and extension of appointments as provided in the
Regulations;
c) To consider any appeals made by members of the staff as provided in the
Bye-Laws;
d) To preside over the convocation of the University;
e) To nominate persons to various authorities of the University, as provided in
the Scheme, Regulations and Bye-Laws, for the furtherance of the objects of
the University;
f) To exercise such other powers and functions as are vested in him/her under
the provisions of the Scheme and Regulations
A
Monitoring and Planning Committee
(includes a UGC nominee as
the member of the committee) meets periodically, reviews the progress made
on implementation of policies, and develops strategic plans for the University.
A
Finance Committee
monitors the flow of funds and approves the
budget for the University. The audited statement of accounts for the University
comes under the scrutiny of this committee.
The
Research Advisory Board
consisting of distinguished members
from the academia and industry ensures promotion of research, through
sponsored projects and consultancy.
An
Academic Council
, the largest statutory body of the University, is
responsible for ensuring high quality of educational programs. It has members
from renowned institutions in the country and industry, who advise in framing
regulations; approve Curriculum and Syllabi for the programs offered at
University. The Vice Chancellor is the Chairman of this Council. Students'
Council members represent students in this august body.
Each School has a
Board of Studies
whose members are domain
experts from the industry and other renowned institutions and from within,
giving directions for any changes required for the success of the academic
programs.
An
Internal Quality Assurance Cell
monitors the academic quality
