government agencies, external premier educational institutions, industry,
employers, alumni and parents. The inputs of these stakeholders on planning,
implementing and evaluating the academic programs are given utmost
importance in policy formulation related to academic programs.
The VIT Alumni Association has been envisaged to foster a closely
knit network bridging the gap between young budding VITians and the
accomplished Alumni. The Alumni already employed in reputed organizations
in India and abroad help the present students in their project work and also
inform them about the employment opportunities in their respective
organizations. The University in turn provides free access to the library and
assists budding Alumni entrepreneurs to incubate their technology venture.
The Vision, Mission and Quality Policies of the institution are
prominently displayed all around the institution so that at every step, all the
stakeholders are conscious of the values that the institution is committed to.
New academic programs are introduced taking into consideration of
the input of students and all other stakeholders in various forums. Since all the
stakeholders are involved in the decision making on the issues in which they
have a lot at stake, they ensure that the pedagogical processes are carried out
in an environment conducive to learning.
Feedback is obtained from students, academic peers, employers,
industrialists and faculty members at regular intervals. Relevant changes are
brought for discussion at statutory academic bodies and incorporated in the
curriculum in order to have continuous improvement.

State of art laboratory facilities and good infrastructure is provided by
the University and from funds from various agencies under the aegis of the
Indian Government to help the students and faculty members excel in
academics and research.
Faculty members are appreciated and given
Research Awards
every
year
for contributing to the University research activities through their
publications and gaining of research grants. The process is coordinated by the
Academic Research Office. Teaching, learning, academic and research
activity are appreciated through the
Performance Evaluations and
Performance Incentives
every year and
Promotions.
Controller of Examinations and Director (Students Welfare)
helps
in identifying meritorious UG and PG students who are awarded for their
academic, sports and extracurricular skills.
Various
International Seminars/Conferences, Guest lectures
are
continually arranged to impart knowledge by the Schools and Centers of the
University.
