3.1. Keeladi Museum

3.1.1. About site
The Sangam Era life and times
of the ancient Tamils are
depicted in the museum. In
Tamil history, the Sangam Age
is thought to have spanned
from 300 BCE to 300 CE. Over
15,000 distinct artifacts were
discovered by the Tamil Nadu State Department of Archaeology between the fourth
and eighth stages of excavations in 2018 and are kept in the museum.
3.1.2. About the complex
• Except for the ground floor, a total of three – one ground floor, two with
mezzanine floors and one of which with mezzanine and first floor –
display halls and an auditorium would treat the visitors with
documentaries on the excavations and its importance in Keeladi.
• It was ensured that the display halls are well lit and allow natural
sunlight and maximum ventilation.
• The Chettinad architecture pillars,
and courtyards have been perfect eye
to detail, where the visitors can sit and
get into the outer structures.
