Tension fabric buildings offer several advantages over traditional constructions, including
reduced operational expenses, energy efficiency, naturally light interiors, speedy installation, the
capacity to relocate the building, adaptable foundation design alternatives, and resistance to
corrosion. Relocating tension fabric buildings is more economically feasible than moving
conventional or metal-clad buildings.
A flexible portion that modifies its geometry during stress-erection and a fixed, rigid piece that is
only rotated and moved during stress-erection make up the Stressed Arch frame.

A square hollow section member makes up the upper chord.
Fig.36.Hangar Assembly
There are two hollow section members in the bottom chord. These include the prestressing
strands, which are employed to deliver a conditioning prestress level to every frame in the final
built shape and to stress-erect the structure.
In the flexible component of the truss, the bottom chord has sliding joints between each node
(web) connection made up of an inner sleeve guide and a gap in the chord. The final shape of the
built frame is determined by the size of the gaps.
