Key to the complex's design is the integration of ancillary facilities, including
Multi-Level Car Parking to alleviate the common issue of congestion,
Advocate Chambers offering a dedicated space for legal professionals, and the
DGC and Government Pleaders Block, which provides essential services
within the complex. Additionally, the Security Block, Residential facilities for
staff, and the construction of a boundary wall are designed to ensure a self-
sufficient and secure environment for all court users.
1.4. Sustainability
Sustainability and accessibility are central tenets of the proposed design, with
a focus on creating a green building that minimizes environmental impact
while enhancing the well-being of its users. The design employs innovative
technologies and materials, aiming for energy efficiency, water conservation,
and the integration of green spaces to provide a counterbalance to the urban
setting.
Furthermore, the thesis explores the cultural and societal implications of such
a judicial complex in the context of Uttar Pradesh. By considering the
architectural heritage of Lucknow and the broader Indian legal tradition, the
design seeks to embody a contemporary interpretation of justice that is deeply
