2.1 Introduction
Art and craft villages are more than just markets and workshops; they are
alive, breathing entities infused with the collective energy of their artists. They
act as skillets of creativity, where age-old processes meet contemporary

sensibilities to produce products that are both timeless and timely.
To fully understand the dynamics of art and craft villages, case studies provide
vital insights into their programs and operational systems. By reviewing
real-world examples, we can obtain a better grasp of the various ways used by
different communities to manage their operations.

region of Gujarat.
General observation of the project:
