                  3.2.1 Building Materials

                     ● Cement slabs, granite slabs, mangalore tiles, teak wood, laterite blocks, and

                         lime plaster.
                     ● Laterite stone is the primary walling material used in nalukettus because it is

                         soft, porous, and has a low density.

                     ● Plastering and binding materials have both utilised lime derived from

                         seashells.
                     ● For roofing, Mangalore tiles and timber components were utilised.

                     ● Additionally, single timber pieces were utilised as the roof truss tie beams.

                         Stones from around the world were used for the exterior flooring, including

                         ceramic tiles that were imported.
