in moon helps in developing the necessary infrastructure for resource extraction, refueling
stations and launch sites. It acts as a gateway to outer space.
Lunar architecture is essential for enabling sustained human presence on the moon by providing
the necessary infrastructure, habitats and support systems. It serves as a catalyst for scientific
advancement, space exploration, resource utilization and potentially lays the groundwork for
the future human settlement beyond Earth.

1.1. Why the moon?
“Mankind was born on earth; it was not meant to die here”.
Humans are often responsible for their own problems and the harm they cause to the
planet and each other. This reflects the idea that many of the environmental, social, and ethical
challenges we face are a result of human actions, such as environmental pollution,
deforestation, conflict, and social injustices. In essence, humans have the power to be both the
cause of problems and the source of solutions. The statement serves as a reminder that our
actions have a significant impact on the world and that we have a responsibility to make choices
that lead to positive outcomes for both our species and the planet. The world around us is
changing rapidly and we can’t deny it. As per IPCC’s 6th assessment report in 2021, the global
average temperature is expected to reach or exceed 1.5 degrees C within the next few decades
due to emissions of heat-trapping gases. The severity of effects caused by climate change will
depend on the activities by mankind in the near future. The natural calamities we face now are
a precursor to an apocalyptic world. Earth’s natural resources has been running out. Our place
in the world is uncertain.
Not only earth, we humans are responsible for polluting the earth’s orbit as well. Dead
satellites to paint flecks, there are more than million space debris which measures up to 1mm.
19,000 kg of materials are left by humans on the moon. Earth’s orbit allows us to study our
planet and the outer space and it’s important that we use it sustainably allowing the future
generation to enjoy its benefits.
Scientists and researchers believe robotic exploration is the best way to conduct most
space science. Others disagree. Only humans can properly investigate other worlds, they say,
