The site map provides a visual representation of the scheduling of various
airside activities and the connections between different runways and
taxiways. Presently, only runway 09-27 is operational, while runway 14-32
is restricted due to the presence of the Bhaba Atomic Research Center on
its 32 side, designated as a no-fly zone by the government, and the Tromba
Hills on its 14 side, posing obstacles to landing and takeoff. Runway 09-27,
with a width of 60 meters and F-code designation, is capable of
accommodating A380 and Boeing 747 aircraft. Notably, the distance of 5.5
kilometers between the new domestic terminal T2 and the old domestic
terminal T1, separated by a road, often leads to challenges for passengers
connecting between the two terminals.
