INDUSTRIAL VISIT FOR STUDENTS

Dr. Aruna Kumar Behura arranged an industrial visit to
'North Chennai Thermal Power Station – II'‘. This visit
served as an exercise for gaining a better understanding
of power generation processes.

Dr. John Rajan arranged an industrial visit to “Wheels India Pvt
Ltd”. This visit served as an exercise for better understanding of
Steel Rims/Wheels for Heavy Vehicles (Trucks, Buses, Light
Commercial Vehicles, Trailers, Tippers etc.), Light Vehicles
(Passenger Cars, Mini Vans, SUVs & MUVs), Agricultural
Applications (Tractors, Combines, Farm Equipment etc.), Off– MechnoVIT
Road Construction Equipment, Wire Wheels (For Contemporary
& Classic Cars, MUVs & SUVs), Coating Facilities etc.

Dr. Gokul Kumar K arranged an industrial visit to “Brakes
India Pvt Ltd”. This visit helped students to understand
brakes manufacturing, quality standards, various types

dies and casting technology.

Dr. Sharan Chandran arranged an industrial visit to “Vellore
Cooperative Sugar Mills.”. The team visited the Sugar Mill, aqua
shire with machineries including Leveller, Fibrizor, Rotary
Juice Screen, Hydraulic Pump, Carriers and many more
equipment. Students gained knowledge about the process of
conversion of natural sugarcane into jaggery and then into
crystal sugar.
